MOUNTAIN TEA, HOMEMADE BISCUITS AND NATURE SOUNDS
We will explore the most beautiful and lesser-known parts of the Soča trail, with several stops to enjoy the sounds of nature. Your experienced guide will tell you everything about local favorites, flora and geology along the way. To make the experience complete, a snack with mountain tea and homemade cookies awaits you at one of the picturesque locations.
Soča trail is available in three different lengths, so it is suitable as a short trip for beginners or a longer tour for more experienced hikers. The hikes are available in any weather (we also hike in the rain). Due to the natural topography of the valley, good opportunities for circular hikes are very rare. So to avoid returning along the same route, we prefer to explore a larger part of the valley and take you back to Residence Soča after the hike.
A picturesque hike down the river will lead us through Velika Korita, one of the most beautiful natural attractions on the Soča River, where beautiful emerald pools spread out through 750 meters. We will also stop at a beautiful chapel built by an Austrian priest.

We will start the hike with a visit to the Plajer climbing area – rocks that rolled down from the mountain above the climbing area 20 years ago. Then we will continue along the river Soča down, across suspension bridges and explore all the beautiful natural sights.

I’m Johannes Bergfors, from Göteborg, Sweden – now living in Bovec, after careful consideration. Former haute cuisine chef. Travelled five continents as a professional skydiving coach and photographer. Made dozens of flying films by combining my interest for arts and music with my degree in media communication. Hobby DJ and paragliding pilot with an interest in behaviour science. Fluent in English and Swedish, get by in French and working on my Slovenian. Coordinating events since 2013 and in the Soča Valley since 2016.
The Soča trail is an educational trail in Triglav National Park that takes you along the Soča river from its source towards Bovec. The tour along Soča River offers a chance to all the well-known and lesser-known natural gems and cultural heritage in the valley. A special attraction are the picturesque footbridges that cross the river several times.
The Soča route is also included in the Alpe Adria Trail remote hiking trail from Grossglockner/Veli Klek to the Gulf of Trieste.
