Snowshoeing

A  UNIQUE WAY TO EXPERIENCE WINTER’S CHARM

Only in winter time, when nature’s asleep and the number of tourists drops significantly, will you be able to feel what peacefulness in the Triglav National Park really means. When the world is covered in a blanket of snow and the sunrays make everything around us glisten do we really become aware of how magical nature is. The frozen waterfalls become ice sculptures, and the snow-covered spruce trees become majestic snow queens. So embark on an unforgettable tour with your snowshoes and discover the mysteries hidden in the kingdom of Goldhorn, the fabled golden-horned white chamois, accompanied by an experienced mountain guide, who will take you on a wonderful adventure across this snowclad valley.

WHY SNOWSHOEING?

There are countless opportunities for winter snowshoeing adventures in the Soča Valley. Fairy tale valleys, snowy plains, white meadows, and forest trails are practically at every turn. Snowshoeing is becoming an increasingly popular sport that takes you to the most pristine corners of the Soča Valley, which cannot be visited in winter months with traditional hiking boots.

Fun walking in the snow, which requires a pair of snowshoes, appropriate winter footwear, snow, warm clothing, and at night, a headlamp, is an excellent idea for a family winter outing. If you are looking for an unforgettable romantic experience, consider snowshoeing at night. Trekking under the full moon and shooting stars is a guarantee for romance.
