Lake Rabeljsko is a real gem, located just behind the Italian border. This beautiful glacial lake offers a stunning view of the mighty Alps and is a popular destination near the Predel Pass. In the summer, the lake is an ideal refuge from high temperatures, as the water reaches a pleasant temperature that allows refreshment and a quick refreshing swim.
Rabeljsko jezero lake is located in Italy, in the municipality of Trbiž, near the border with Slovenia. The lake is a frequent stop on the way to the Soča Valley. The road that leads to the Soča Valley past Rabelj Lake is considered one of the more popular accesses to the Soča Valley.
The lake is of glacial origin and lies at an altitude of 959 meters above sea level. The length of the lake is 1400 m, and the width is up to 400 m. Its maximum depth is 35 m. The water temperature in the lake usually does not exceed 15 degrees Celsius.

ACTIVITIES ON RABELJSKO JEZERO LAKE
Bathing
Although the water is quite cold (around 15 degrees Celsius even in summer), the lake is popular for refreshment. Children are happy to splash in the water or at least play next to it.
Take a walk
You can also take a walk by the lake, where you can enjoy beautiful views and nature.
Kayaking, canoeing
By the lake it is possible to rent kayaks, canoes, supos. You can also bring your own and enjoy rowing on the lake. Rental is possible at the bar by the lake, at the Centro Nauti Cave. During the summer months, they also sometimes set up playgrounds for children.
SUPing
It is best explored on a SUP board. Paddleboarding is a physically undemanding sport, but still offers a good workout for the whole body. Above all, it strengthens the core muscles, since only these are the most active in maintaining balance. In addition to a good workout, it offers both exciting moments and relaxation, depending on which excursion you choose. It is a very versatile sport that everyone can enjoy.
