We drive to the cottage at the source of the Soča River. First of all, we can see the source of the Soča, to which there is a marked, walkable, but somewhat exposed path in the upper part. The spring is hidden in a rock about 100 meters above the hut. We return by the same route.
We continue towards the valley, which the locals call Zapoden. We follow the signs for Bavški Grintavec. We cross a wide clearing and continue along it under the Trentarski Prelec and Srebrnjak mountains. The path is lost towards the remains of the Zapotok mountain, and we continue under the slopes into a tight corner, where the stream from under the Zapotok mountain merges through the waterfalls. We return by the same route.

There are picturesque troughs and waterfalls hidden in the Učja riverbed, but they are difficult to access and passable only with special equipment. Part of this beauty can be seen from the footbridge, which is only a few minutes from the starting point. We visit the valley along the path along the left bank. We start at the restaurant by the bridge in the village of Žaga. We follow the road towards the upper houses and at the first bend we leave the road and continue to the left. The track is carved into the rock world. After a quarter of an hour, the markings turn towards Planina Ben, and we continue in the current direction. We soon find ourselves in the hay fields and continue in the forest to the left. After 10 minutes, we descend to the Globoščak stream and see a beautiful waterfall. We cross the stream and on the opposite bank we look for a mule track. Turn right along the mule track, then left. We soon find ourselves on the Planina Srednja Učja, which stretches on a vast plateau above the river bed. Here are some haylofts that have been converted into holiday homes. We return by the same route.
