The Great Soča Gorge are located on the Soča river near the Lepena valley. The gorge are 750 meters long, in some places only 2 meters wide, and are surrounded by walls up to 15 meters high. Here you can see the beautiful green-blue colour of the river Soča. They are an important natural value of the Triglav National Park.

From our accommodation, we turn left, where we walk along the main road to the first bridge, where we cross the Soča River.

On the other side of the river, turn right and follow the signs in the direction of the Small and Great Soče Gorge.

On the way
The path takes us along the river Soča. First we see Small Soča Gorge on our right. After visiting the Small Gorge, join the road that leads to the beginning of the Great Soča Gorge. We can walk further to the wooden suspension bridge and the grove, because we can sit by the river and watch the blue-green gorge.
