There’s nothing better than to hit the white slopes on a fresh sunny morning, inhale the fresh Alpine air and feel the warm mountain sun on your face. The peaks surrounding Residence Soča are covered in snow caps for at least half a year – we’re here to create a magical ski vacation for you.
Only 15 minutes from us you’ll find the highest Slovenian ski resort Kanin. On a clear day, the top of this majestic 2,000 metres high mountain will give you an extraordinary view all the way to the Adriatic Sea.
The Višarje ski resort is located in the heart of the Julian Alps, near Tarvisio on the Italian side of the border. The ski resort offers various ski and snowboarding runs suitable for all levels of skiers, from beginners to experienced. There are also groomed trails for cross-country skiing and other winter sports.
The ski resort has modern infrastructure, including four ski lifts and two gondolas that provide fast and comfortable rides to the top. At the top of the ski resort, an incredible view of the Julian Alps and the surrounding landscape opens up.
You can also book a licensed ski instructor. The skiing courses are suitable for both beginners and those with more experience.

Skiing at over 2,000 m of altitude with a view of the Alps and the Adriatic Sea is a unique experience. The sunny Kanin, connected to the Italian ski resort Sella Nevea, will enthuse you with an incredible mountainous ambience and natural snow that lasts until late spring.
Kanin Ski Resort – Sella Nevea opens in December, when enough snow falls for pleasant skiing. Skiing season lasts until May, when sunrays hit the ski slopes and skiing fans often decide for afternoon rafting on the River Soča.

The longest gondola lift in Slovenia will take you from Bovec (436 m) to the sunny side of the Kanin Ski Resort (at 2,202 m). Skiers can choose between 30 km of ski slopes of various levels of difficulty. A 5 km long descent with the height difference of 1,200 m from Sedlo na Kaninu to the Italian Sella Neveo is particularly popular.

Access to Kanin – Sella Nevea ski resort is available by panoramic circular cableway from Bovec or from Sella Nevea, to where you drive with a car. You may also take a free skibus from Bovec to the entry station of Kanin cableway.
Common ski pass is valid for both sides of the ski resort. However, it is possible to buy a ski pass that is only valid for Kanin Ski Resort.
